Here's Why You Should Eat Chocolate - Reboot Fitness Coaching

Here’s Why You SHOULD Eat That Chocolate Bar…

Ever feel guilty after you eat something “bad”…?

Maybe you ate a bar (or three) of chocolate. Or was it that jumbo bag of doritos that you hoovered down? Or the cake that was just crying out for you to eat it..

Whatever it was, you probably felt a bit guilty, embarrassed, and annoyed at yourself for messing up your diet again. I see that all the time with my clients, and with one in particular a while back.

While she was telling me about all the chocolate she’d eaten this week, her head was down; her face was going red; and her voice kept trailing off, as she anticipated the huge telling off that I was going to give her. It was like she was a child stood in front of her parents, about to get grounded and sent to bed without any dinner…

So she was surprised all I actually said was: “Okay. What next?”.

And here’s why I said that…

There is no reason you shouldn’t enjoy a chocolate bar…

In fact, I’d encourage you to enjoy a chocolate bar when you feel like one.

Banning yourself from having ‘bad foods’ is a sure fire way to make yourself feel guilty and sh*t about yourself as soon as you (inevitably) give in. And what will happen when you feel guilty and sh*t about yourself…? ===> You’ll probably eat more of said stuff…

So every now and then, allow yourself to have the things you enjoy but know aren’t the healthiest. Take your time with it. Taste it! Really enjoy it!! Make it worthwhile… rather than it ending up in your belly without touching the sides…

If you do that, you’ll start to feel less guilty, eat less, and these cravings will start to reduce over time…
